Appointed Persons

This one day course is for successful candidates to act as appointed persons in their workplace
The Appointed Persons training course covers the following topic areas:

• Priorities: DRAB check and sending for help
• Unconscious casualty • Resuscitation: adults
• Choking • Dealing with blood loss and shock
• Burns and scalds
• Fractures
• Heart attack
• Diabetes
• Strokes
• Seizures
• Reporting and recording of incidents as required by HSE(Health & Safety Executive)
• Contents of HSE approved first aid kit
• Acting safely and promptly and effectively in an emergency

This course is continually assessed throughout the day. Following successful completion of the course, you will receive an appointed person’s certificate valid for three years.
