Emergency First Aid at Work

This one day course enables successful candidates to act as emergency first-aiders in their workplace.

The Emergency First Aid at Work training course covers the following topic areas:

• Acting safely and promptly and effectively in an emergency
• Preventing Cross infection, recording incidents and actions and use of available equipment
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Care of an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
• Choking
• Wounds and Bleeding
• Shock
• Minor injuries

This course is assessed throughout the day by practical and theory sessions. Following successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate, which will be valid for three years. Please note, it is recommended that you take an annual half-day skills update course each year.
